Hey Lovelies,
I've seen quite a few medical bloggers do this, so I thought why not jump on the bandwagon while I'm still a medical student! For those who do not know, I am in my final year of medical school where I am currently doing my accident & emergency rotation. For this rotation my timetable is currently all over the place, some days I start at 8am, 12pm or 10pm!
06:30 Alarm goes off
13:00 Back to A&E Department
17:25 Home
23:00 In bed

For this rotation my timetable is currently all over the place, some days I start at 8am, 12pm or 10pm!
06:30 Alarm goes off
- It takes me a while to get out of bed. I snooze my alarm at least three times before I get out of bed
- I shower, get dressed
- I did not have time to make breakfast so I just had some fruits.
- My hospital is actually about 1 hr drive away from where I live.
- Have coffee in the staff room
- First case for the day is a case I will probably never forget, I still find it hard to believe that it actually happened. A teenage girl came in with abdo pain and vaginal bleeding. But we actually discovered that she was in labour, but she was not aware that she was pregnant.
- Vomiting blood
- Ankle fracture
- Syncope (faint)
13:00 Back to A&E Department
- Did a few Jobs- cannulations, taking bloods
- Cases- Vomiting, confusion
17:25 Home
- Seems to be always traffic on the way back home, so got home later than usual
- I procrastinate for a good 40 mins- I check all my social media, make phone calls, and catch up with my housemates.
19:12 Dinner
20:15 Portfolio work/ study- Today I caught up with a show that I am just a little to addicted to. Love & Hip Hop ATL
23:00 In bed
- It actually takes me about a good two hours before I fall asleep. I really need to work on this

Hey lovelies,
I cannot believe how long it's been since my last post! I've just been busy doing nothing, as my mum would say. On the other hand I received some great news last week- I got a job! It's official guys, I'm going to be a working lady this August. Scary stuff!
Okay back to the post. As you should all know by now, one of my talents is eating and graciously hopping from restaurant to restaurant. Over the past couple of weeks, I've been to several restaurants in London and in Liverpool. Here are a few of my favourites so far, I recommend you try them all!
Oblix Restaurant, The shard London
Oblix is located on the 32nd floor of The shard in London bridge, popularly known for its location and amazing view. The view is breathtakingly beautiful, and really did live up to the hype. It was all very much sophisticated, as you would expect for a £65 per head private dining experience. It consisted of a Asian style shared 9 course meal, this excluding wine and refreshments. I must admit the dishes were very delicious, and in very large portions (to that extent that we barely finished half). I was disappointed by the desserts, so disappointed that I didn't even bother taking a picture.
KO Grill Liverpool
I love Indian food! KO is an authentic Eastern Grill restaurant located in the very popular Bold street. When it comes to Indian food I always order the same main- chicken biryani extra spicy! You can never go wrong. I did try something new this time, the Mango Lassi (as recommended by my very beautiful dinner date). It is a traditional Indian/Punjarb yogurt based drink. I fell in love instantly, to the point that I started googling how to make it. For appetizers I had their Tandoori chicken wings dipped in a spicy sauce.
Moose and Moonshine, Loverpool
I heard a lot of good reviews about this Restaurant, so I thought I'd go check it out. It's an British/Canadian style menu, but my first impression was that it is an American style restaurant. The food was good, I was pretty full from just the main, which is unlike me. I do plan on visiting again, especially their partner chain Moose and coffee, to try out their brunch menu.
Thanks for reading.
I hope to be posting a few more things within a week so subscribe and keep reading.

This is a bit odd, but I am really obsessed with Chesterfield sofas, a part of me wants to be an interior designer.

Hey Lovelies,
Do you ever scroll through Instagram and see a celebrity, or a instagram model swearing by some kind of detox tea or waist trainer? I'm pretty sure we all have. I sometimes feel a bit mislead with false expectations. Did the detox/waist trainer help you achieve your body shape? Did you already naturally have that body shape? or Did a plastic surgeon assist you with that? (Not that it's a problem if they did). I may be coming off a bit skeptical, but can you blame me? If I am to spend £70 on a waist trainer- 1) Tell me if it honestly works 2) For that price I expect my body to transform into Beyonce's within two months!
I've been through a fair share of diets, detoxes, and cleanses. Just name it, I've probably done it. But the question is, do they give the results they promise? and are they safe? I thought I'd share my personal thoughts and experience on waist training.
My experience
I waist trained for about 2 months, wearing it everyday and night (with an exception of maybe 5 days). You may be wondering, is that safe? I did what was comfortable for me, neither did I tighten the waist trainer to a point it could cause any damage, or even be unbearable.
During this period I exercised, went on a healthy diet and as a result I lost a bit of weight (as you may be able to tell from the pictures).
P.S. excuse the poor picture quality.
Picture 4 is 2 months of waist training.
Picture 5 is 3/4 weeks post waist training.
Picture 6 is 7 months post waist training, but bearing in mind that I do exercise.
Pros
-Visibly smaller waist with the corset on
-Reduced food intake- This could be a benefit if you want to lose weight.
-Good posture- I did my waist training during exam period, and I experienced a bit of back pain from constantly being sat by a desk, but it seemed to reduce while I had the waist trainer on.
Cons
- Scarring- I got minor bruises on areas with the most pressure, which can still be visible to an extent almost 7 months later
- You won't lose any weight unless you reduce your calories and exercise.
- It is uncomfortable
- Temporary results- Once you stop wearing the corset my personal view is that you lose the "curves" it gave you.
- Extreme users are most at risk of experiencing difficulty with breathing, compressed organs, reflux, pain, displaced organs, muscle weakness/wasting etc.
Overall, I personally do not believe waist training alone will give you permanent results. If you are going to waist train, it is recommended that beginners start off with 4 hrs per day and gradually work their way up.
If you already have your mind set on waist training, before spending a whole sum of money on a waist trainer you may only wear for a couple of days, maybe start off with a relatively inexpensive one (here).
Thanks for reading!
